                                                        Protection from virus via PPE

Just this afternoon, an acquaintance engaged in memorial park business asked this post regarding covid 19 interments.   (Sharing some trade secrets)  She said there is quite a number of covid19 interments and certain anomalies by LGU may be worth looking into.

There are plenty of requests for covid19 interments especially at island provinces and at distant locations where there are no crematorium

This post looked at the net and found only guidelines from DOH above (https://doh.gov.ph/sites/default/files/health-update/dm2020-0158.pdf

Here are some of the pointers this post shared;

1.  Observed only in areas where there are no crematorium.   The best way to check the pandemic is to cremate and inn compliance with Chapter XX1 of the Sanitation Code.

2.  To be done at night and with one or two persons in attendance to witness the  interment

3.  The body should be:

     1.  Not embalmed
     2.  In double leakproof body bags
     3.  Sealed casket

4.   The interment crew must:

      1.  Wear gloves; and full bunny suit, face mask and face shield
      2.   The lowering device should not be used;  linen cloth should be used to lower the casket
      3.    The linen cloth, the PPE gloves goes in with the casket for burial;
      4.  Constant hand washing and /or alcohol washing

5.  With regards to the  plot:

     1.  Only single interment
     2.  No exhumation.  Doing so  will release the virus molecule and may infect other living objects
     3.   The backfilling should be infected with lime (apog)   Lime is basic and will destroy the virus
            molecule
